After the good effects achieved by building the “BHDB” Football Team, the Youth League General Branch positively organized and set up the “BHDB” Basketball Team. The set-up of basketball team is not only a good way to enrich company culture and promote company image, but also a effective medium to incentive the sports enthusiasm and improve fitness of the staff, which has made great efforts to promote corporation culture and enhance the visibility.

1.The Set-up of the Basketball Team

Since the set-up notification was announced on 05^th Dec. 2014, basketball amateurs in the company have actively signed up, and selection was run on 07^th Dec. 2014. After selection the qualified players were recruited and “BHDB” basketball team was officially built up. Now the team has 27 players in total (alternatives included).

2.Daily Training of the Team

Since the team was built up, every Sunday afternoon at 13:30 the daily training and matches are carried out at basketball playground in Jiaxing Medical Institute. Attendance assessment is introduced and all players are required to obey management of the team, be well disciplined and take part in activities on time. 3.Friendly play

After coordination with the well-known company Estec in Jiaxing, in the afternoon on 11^th Jan. 2015 a friendly was played on the basketball playground of Estec. During the match, players shed sweat and showed spirit of the team “Participation! Endeavor!”. It was the first time for players to stand on the playground, who are not experienced as opponents. Though our team suffered strong blocking and made frequent mistakes during the first two quarters and was left behind by 17 points, after the adjustment during the break, our players ran more actively and strengthened defense during the third and fourth quarter, which forced opponents made mistakes constantly. Our team organized successful counterattack again and again, which inspired team morale. In the end we won slightly with 66 to 64 and completed a dramatic reverse.

4.Conclusion

The selection, set-up, daily training and friendly against other team have thoroughly inspired the sport enthusiasm of our players and enhanced the communication and understanding among each other, which helps to build a harmonious corporation atmosphere. Besides, this friendly also exposed the short hands of the team such as players are inexperienced and lack of smooth cooperation. Thus, we need to contribute more endeavor during daily training as well as matches.

The set-up of “BHDB” Basketball Team finally aims at enriching employees’ life in spare time, strengthening the health of all staff and promoting the atmosphere of “Live Healthily, Work Happily”.
